550 Maple 18 x 12 x 2 with Finger Grooves & Feet

Because we use solid wood for our cutting boards, we have to work around imperfections as much as possible. We do our best, but it isn't always possible to completely avoid mineral streaks, small voids and other wood idiosyncrasies. To dismiss a board that has just a few of these imperfections would be incredibly wasteful and not in line with our value to be as sustainable as we can. In this case, there aren't mineral streaks inherent to most Maple. Rather this board has either a larger void or multiple small voids that were filled with wood filler. There is nothing structurally wrong with it, but we aim to sell boards with a minimum amount of streaking or voids at the premium price.

In this case, there is a larger filled void on the back side near one of the feet. It's an otherwise pretty board!

This board already comes equipped with Finger Grooves. A Juice Groove and/or engraving are also available for a small fee.

Maple cutting boards need a lot of oil, so please don't forget to add a care kit! All cutting boards need to be oiled to full saturation, but especially maple!
