White oak is a beautiful wood used in tables, furniture, and flooring. The hardness inherent in white oak holds up well to repeated knife marks. We don't typically make boards from white oak but we had some extra wood left over from a custom job and decided to make a small run of boards. If you are a fan of white oak, this may be the only time we sell them. Once these are gone, they're gone.
While most varieties of oak aren't acceptable as end grain butcher block due to their large, open pores, white oak works fine because its large pores are blocked by tyloses. (Thanks to our resident certified arborist and wood nerd, Nolan, for that clarification.)
We WILL add feet to this board unless you check the box asking us not to.
You can add Feet as well as grooves and/or engraving.
