Even though we have our system down to a science and have an extremely skilled team, sometimes the board just doesn't fully cooperate. Even though this board is completely structurally sound, we don't like for the glue joints to be as visible. Honestly, it isn't super noticeable, but we are picky. :) So this one gets a bit of a discount.
This board already comes equipped with Finger Grooves and a Bottom Juice Groove. Engraving is also available for a small fee.
Feet WILL be installed on this board since we already cut the Bottom Groove to accomodate feet.
Most maple has mineral marks within the wood. It is how the tree goes with its unique indiosyncracies. Since Maple is a lighter wood, those mineral streaks are very visible. These marks can't totally be avoided. In this case, the board has just a few small spots that definitely doesn't detract from its beauty.
Maple cutting boards need a lot of oil, so please don't forget to add a care kit! All cutting boards need to be oiled to full saturation, but especially maple!
