It is how the tree goes with its unique indiosyncracies. Since Maple is a lighter wood, those mineral streaks are very visible. These marks can't totally be avoided. In this case, the board has just a few small spots that definitely doesn't detract from its beauty.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eMaple cutting boards need a lot of oil, so please don't forget to add a care kit!
